Hi, I’m Scott.

By day I lead a Portfolio Delivery and Change function in the Civil Service — basically making sure strategy doesn’t just stay a nice slide deck. I care about delivering complex transformation in a legislated, digital world, but I’m just as interested in how we deliver: the operating models, ways of working and the especially the behaviours that determine whether change actually lands and, more generally, how we work together.

Away from work I’m a fairly eclectic mix. I follow Formula 1, play golf, paint Warhammer (slowly!) and, am a regular Parkrun runner. Dabbling in photography along the way. I’m also a bit of a nerd for digital stuff - currently tinkering with code (see this website) and learning to leverage AI safely and ethically. At the same time, I’m increasingly appreciating the non-digital side of life too, and why it matters more than ever.

This site is where I think out loud about leadership, transformation, and whatever I’m building (or learning) on the side.
